FAQ
Questions, answered
Do I have to trim anything on the car?
No. Every piece is cut to the shape of your panel before it ships, including cutouts for sensors, washer nozzles and emblems where your vehicle needs them. You never take a blade to your paint.
How hard is it to install PPF myself?
A partial front kit is a good first install. Most people finish it in an afternoon, and the bumper is the piece that takes the most patience. The install guide covers each piece in order.
What do I need besides the kit?
A spray bottle of slip solution (water and a few drops of baby shampoo), a spray bottle of tack solution (water and isopropyl alcohol), a squeegee, microfiber towels and a clean, shaded space.
What if a piece doesn't fit?
Perfect-Fit Guarantee: send a photo of the front of your car with your order, and if a piece doesn't fit, we re-cut it free. Send us a photo of the piece on the car and we'll take it from there.
How long does the film last?
The film carries a 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Real-world life depends on sun exposure and how the car is washed.
Will PPF damage my paint?
Not on factory paint in good condition. Quality film uses an adhesive designed to release cleanly. Repainted panels are the exception: if the clear coat wasn't applied properly, any film can lift it when removed.
How fast does it ship?
Kits are cut to order and ship in 2–3 business days, with tracking. Orders of $50 or more ship free; smaller orders ship for $5.05.
Which year and trim should I choose?
The model year on your registration and the trim on your window sticker or the badge on the car. If you're not sure, add your VIN when you order and we'll confirm the pattern before cutting.
My vehicle isn't listed. Can you still cut it?
Only vehicles listed on the site have kits right now. Send us the year, make, model, trim and VIN through the contact page and we'll let you know if one becomes available.
Can I return a kit?
No. Every kit is cut to order for one vehicle, so all sales are final. If a piece doesn't fit your vehicle, we re-cut it.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Email us right away. Once your kit has been cut, we can't change the vehicle or coverage.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We ship within the United States.
What film do you use?
8.5 mil TPU paint protection film with a self-healing top coat and a 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.
Can I put ceramic coating on top of PPF?
Yes. Wait until the film has fully dried (about a week), then coat it like paint. Many people do both.
How do I remove PPF later?
Warm the film with a heat gun or in the sun and peel it back slowly at a low angle. Quality film on factory paint comes off cleanly; adhesive residue wipes off with a citrus-based remover.
